Introduction

This is the first post in the series of The Past, Present and Future of Mars, where I explore and explain the major findings about Mars, missions carried out in the past, the present state of Mars exploration, some basic facts about the planet, and the future plans regarding the further exploration and perhaps colonization of this fourth, unexplored, red planet with its yet quite mysterious past, which makes scientists wonder, if life ever existed on Mars or if life on Earth might even have came from Mars.
